Joe Vancil
Welcome to my web page.
After several years of doing my own web page on my own site, I've decided to see if I can do things better using a provider service. This is that new attempt.
A lot of this stuff isn't applicable yet. That's because my new provider - Network Solutions (networksolutions.com) - is doing things that really annoy me. The company is great at annoy and evade and insulate decision-makers from customers. Take that as a warning. While their products seem reasonably solid, their front-line people are not empowered to make some rather basic decisions, and those who make those decisions are insulated from speaking to the customers affected by those decisions.
If you are approached by a Network Solutions employee who tells you that you need a different package than the one you got, be aware that the sales people DO NOT have the authority to refund you for your previous purchase. And be aware that the first salesperson you talk to may not be offering you the right product.
Bottom line: you may need to check out Network Solutions' competitors.

My Story
There's really nothing remarkable here. I've Got a lot of different interests, and I'm setting aside sections for most of them.
I am the adopted son of the late Jack and Winnie Vancil, who lived on a farm in the Bootheel of Missouri. The farm is about half-way between Holcomb, MO and Campbell, MO.
Although I grew up with a Campbell, MO address, I'm much more associated with Holcomb, MO, going to school and church in Holcomb.
